Jaclyn Theeck M.A., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist and
owner of the Speech and Learning Institute, Inc.
Ms. Theeck attended Eastern Michigan
University and completed a
Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Speech-Language
Pathology. She is a
licensed speech-language pathologist in the
state of Florida,
and has earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
(ASHA). She has been practicing since 2001. Her clients have
been ages 0-101. Ms. Theeck is an experienced clinician,
educator, mentor, and community resource in Speech-Language
Pathology. She has
extensive academic and hands-on knowledge from her years of
experience working with children and adults.
Ms. Theeck has
practiced in hospitals, outpatient facilities, schools, homes,
skilled nursing facilities and private-clinics treating patients
with a variety of diagnoses.
In addition, Ms. Theeck is a certified teacher with an
endorsement to teach K-5 elementary education and K-12
speech-language impaired.
She is certified to teach in Michigan and
Florida.
Ms. Theeck is certified in the Orton-Gillingham method of
reading and has completed extensive training in the areas of
reading and phonemic awareness.
She worked for six years as a member of a special
education team providing speech-language pathology services to
children ages 3-18 in the Michigan Public Schools.
